RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 69 runs in the fourth match of the ongoing T20I tri-series here on Sunday, securing their place in the final.
After electing to bat first, Pakistan posted a total of 195 for 5 in their 20 overs. Babar Azam scored 74 off 52 balls while Sahibzada Farhan added 63 runs from 41 deliveries.
Fakhar Zaman finished with a quick 27 not out from just 10 balls. Sikandar Raza was Zimbabwe’s most successful bowler, with figures of 2 for 39.
In reply, Zimbabwe struggled in their chase and were all out for 126 in 18.6 overs.
Usman Tariq the star for Pakistan
Usman Tariq was the star for Pakistan, taking 4 wickets for just 18 runs, including a hat-trick. He was named Player of the Match for his exceptional performance.
Mohammad Nawaz also contributed with 2 wickets for 21 runs.
Ryan Burl was the only bright spot for Zimbabwe, who scored a fighting 67 off 49 balls.
This was Pakistan’s third consecutive victory in the series, following wins against Zimbabwe in the first match and Sri Lanka on Saturday. Pakistan will now face Sri Lanka in the final on November 29.
