ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ayeen-Pakistan (TTAP) has announced to launch a protest movement against the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
In Islamabad, the nominated opposition leader of the National Assembly, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the nominated opposition leader of the Senate, Allama Nasir Abbas, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, and other leaders held a joint press conference.
Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that the constitution was attacked on a holiday.
He said that the foundations of Pakistan have been attacked, and Pakistan has been occupied by an unfortunate group without an election.
He added that we are people who love this country. I was sworn in to defend the Constitution of the country 5 times.
The TTAP chairman announced to launch a protest movement and not allow the parliament to function, and said that the movement starts from today against the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
We warn everyone that this attack is an attack on the foundations of the country.
In a joint press conference, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said that the 27th Amendment has been made keeping in mind the benefits and disadvantages of personalities.
The Constitution has nothing to do with personalities, and the elite is amending the Constitution for their own interests.
On this occasion, Senator Raja Nasir Abbas said that the Parliament and the judiciary have been destroyed.
They are leading the country towards destruction, and we will go to any extent to block the path of amendment.
Later, the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan said in its statement that a national consultative conference will be convened in Islamabad this week, and people from all walks of life will be invited to this conference.
It said that ‘Black Day will be observed across the country, the day after the fake approval of the 27th Amendment, an appeal will be made to the public to wear black armbands and participate in the Black Day. Lawyers are requested to protest against it by wearing black armbands in the courts.
“We expect that conscientious judges of the judiciary will express their reservations, a new development pact should be brought in Pakistan, and nationwide rallies and processions will be announced after the national consultative meeting.”
The statement further read that we have to start public opinion-building, for which a committee has been formed.
This consultation will not be limited to the top level only; business organizations will also be invited to participate in this consultation, and every public opinion-builder is requested to express their views on it, the release concluded.
