KARACHI (Kashmir English): In tragic news, the Former Speaker Sindh Assembly and veteran Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) politician, Agha Siraj Durrani, 74, died in a local hospital, state TV reported on Wednesday.
Veteran People’s Party leader Agha Siraj Durrani has been hospitalised at a private Karachi hospital for the past few days.
His body will be transported to his hometown district of Shikarpur, family sources have confirmed.
President Asif Ali Zardari has also shown deep sorrow over the unfortunate death of Agha Siraj Durrani and paid homage to his political and public services.
“Agha Siraj Durrani took the leading role in the promotion of democratic values,” President Zardari stated in his message.
He offered condolences to the family of the deceased soul. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has also been very saddened by the demise of Agha Siraj Durrani. “He was the People’s Party’s genuine, loyal, and committed,” said the chief minister.
