DUBAI (Kashmir English): Pakistan thrashed Bangladesh by 11 runs in a do-or-die Asia Cup Super Fours fixture to reach the tournament final, where they are set to face arch-rivals India.

Bangladesh failed to achieve a modest 136-run target at Dubai Cricket Stadium on Thursday, giving the Green Shirts the ticket for the final.

Earlier, Bangladesh had won the toss and opted to field first in the important match, the winner of which would book a place in the final against India.

The Bangladesh skipper Jaker Ali said that the decision to bowl first was taken due to a pretty dry wicket.

We have been doing well while bowling first, so we are going with that strategy, he said, adding that we have to bat really well in this match.
