‘Next Level Chef’: Pakistani chef to compete in Gordon Ramsay show

DALLAS (USA): Dallas-based Pakistani content creator Maryam Ishtiaq has announced that she will be competing in Season 4 of Next Level Chef starting on February 13 (Thursday).

She announced the decision on Instagram. The show will be judged by American chef Nyesha Arrington, Top Chef: All-Stars winner Richard Blais, and the one and only Gordon Ramsay.

Maryam Ishtiaq first announced the news earlier in January, and again took to Instagram last week to reflect on the honour of representing Pakistan at an international level.

She is ‘So proud, grateful’ on making it to Gordon Ramsay’s cooking show. The Dallas-based Pakistani chef and content creator will be competing in a cooking competition judged by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Journey as chef

Ishtiaq said on Instagram that she consistently followed a unique career journey, adding she was incredibly thankful for the opportunity to turn her dreams into reality while pursuing her passions.

She further said that she couldn’t be more thrilled to represent her community on such a renowned platform while doing what she loved most.

In a conversation with Images, Ishtiaq said, “People dream of doing the things I have been and I’m truly so grateful that I get to do what I love. What’s even more amazing is that I’ve seen such [an] incredible amount of support from my community, I did not anticipate any of it.”

Talking about the process of being selected for the culinary competition, Ishtiaq said she couldn’t give too much away due to the regulations in place by the network broadcasting the show, FOX, however, she added that the process was lengthy.

Ishtiaq got significant attention after announcing the feat. In a subsequent post, she welcomed new followers wholeheartedly and shared insights into her culinary journey.

Ishtiaq believes that the road to success is rarely straightforward, and achieving the ultimate goal often requires reaching smaller milestones along the way.
