Multan’s bicycle puncture repairman wins bodybuilding gold in Thailand

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s Firasat Ali and Ejaz Ahmed clinched two gold medals at the 57th Asian Bodybuilding Championship 2025 in Thailand, defeating top athletes from across Asia.

Both Pakistani bodybuilders were in strong competition with India, Afghanistan and other countries’ sportsmen to secure gold medals.

Firasat Ali, who once worked as a bicycle puncture repairman in Multan, clinched the top position in the 75kg junior category by outsmarting India’s Bashan Dutt, Hoai Bam Riki and Feroz, along with Afghan contestant Baitullah Zadran.

In the masters category, Ejaz Ahmed also gave impressive performance by outsmarting athletes from China, Vietnam, Malaysia, India and Mongolia to earn Pakistan its second gold medal in the event.

Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation

Sohail Anwar, Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation Secretary General, in a statement hailed the achievement, saying both athletes had raised the national flag high in Thailand.

By winning two gold medals, they have made the country proud, and the nation is confident that the players will continue to excel at international level, he said.
