BAGH (Kashmir English): The President of Azad Kashmir has issued a conditional approval for the upgradation of police post Sahlian as a station in Bagh district.
This decision aims to enhance the convenience of the local population and improve effective control over crimes in the area.
“The approval is subject to the condition that the creation of posts for different cadres will be discussed at the level of the Finance Department,” the notification stated.
The newly upgraded police station marks the establishment of the 5th police station in the district.
With this upgrade, Dhirkot tehsil now has three police stations, including Police Station Dhirkot, Police Station Arja, and Police Station Sahlian.
While one police station each is established in the Bagh and Hari Gehal tehsils.
