BHIMBER (Kashmir English): Deputy Commissioner Bhimber expressed concern over the increasing traffic accidents and said that preventing accidents is a shared responsibility of all of us.
He directed traffic police to enforce the rules on the busy roads of Bhimber, Samahni, and Barnala, and citizens to create a sense of responsibility.
Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Haq Nawaz has said in a public awareness message that raising public awareness is the need of the hour to prevent traffic accidents.
The public should also be careful during rush hours on Bhimber Pai Pass Road, Andron Bazaar Road, Samahni Chowk, Mirpur Chowk, Samahni Tehsil, and Barnala. Motorcyclists should avoid speeding. Traffic police should also enforce it.
He said in an awareness message that traffic rules should be strictly implemented to prevent accidents. Citizens should avoid using mobile phones while driving, speeding, and wrong overtaking.
The Deputy Commissioner said that motorcyclists should ensure the use of helmets, while underage driving should not be allowed. He appealed to parents not to allow their children to drive vehicles at a young age.
Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Haq Nawaz said that the cooperation of the administration and law enforcement agencies, as well as the public, is indispensable in preventing accidents.
