MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Prime Minister of Pakistan officially inaugurated the Monsoon Tree Planting Campaign 2025-26 on August 19, 2025.
The main objective of this national campaign is to promote tree plantation across the country and create awareness among the public to eliminate environmental pollution.
In this regard, as per the instructions of the Forest Department, tree plantation ceremonies were organized in all divisions of Azad Kashmir, in which academicians, civil society, district administration, and people from different walks of life participated.
The tree plantation ceremony in Pethka was also part of the same campaign, which was held in a very organized and enthusiastic manner.
The ceremony was supervised by the Chairman Union Council, Member District Council, and Block Officer Renewal Pethka Ahmed Mir. On this occasion, various types of local and eco-friendly plants were planted so that the green environment in the area could be promoted and the natural beauty could be maintained.
The participants expressed their determination that they would fully cooperate in making this national campaign a success and would take care of the planted plants as their responsibility.
At the end of the ceremony, the Chairman Union Council said that tree plantation is not only necessary for the protection of the environment but also a valuable asset for our future generations.
Under the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2025-26, tree plantation activities will continue in Pahtka and other areas so that the dream of making the country green and lush can be turned into a reality.
