ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): On the occasion of the Youm-e-Instehsal (Day of Exploitation), Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, in his video message, rejected India’s unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, calling them a clear violation of United Nations resolutions and international laws.
He said that today, Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control, people across Pakistan, and Kashmiris living around the world are observing this day as Black Day.
On August 5, 2019, the Modi government abolished the special status of occupied Kashmir to fulfill its Hindutva agenda, which aims to convert the Muslim majority there into a minority.
Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said that India has been narrowing the land of India for Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, and Dalits for the past decade. Approximately 1 million occupying forces in occupied Kashmir have taken away the right to live, vote, own property, express their opinion, and basic human rights from the Kashmiri people.
He said that all Hurriyat leaders, human rights activists, and independent journalists have been imprisoned in baseless cases, while the media and social media are not allowed to speak the truth.
The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir termed the domicile law implemented by India as a conspiracy to change the Kashmiri culture, civilization, and population ratio. He said that India’s actions are a clear violation of the UN Charter, international agreements, and human rights conventions.
He appealed to the international community to put pressure on India to implement the UN Security Council resolutions and play its role in getting the Kashmiris their legitimate right, the right to self-determination.
Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, while saluting the sacrifices, courage, and determination of the people of occupied Kashmir, said that the Kashmiri people are continuing their struggle despite all Indian atrocities, and they will never accept India’s usurpation of Kashmir.
Finally, he thanked all those international organizations, countries, human rights activists, and journalistic organizations who exposed the real face of India to the world.
