MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The 58th death anniversary of Raees-ul-Ahrar Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas is being observed with devotion and respect in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
To honour the leading politician of Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, visited the mausoleum of Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas and laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas.
Additionally, a decorated contingent of police saluted Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas on his death anniversary. Along with the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Muslim Conference Chief Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan also laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Raees-ul-Ahrar
Political leaders and Hurriyat leaders also offered Fateha at the mausoleum of Raees-ul-Ahrar.
Who was Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas
Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas (4 February 1904 – 18 December 1967) was a leading politician of Jammu and Kashmir and the President of the Muslim Conference party. After he migrated to Pakistan-administered Kashmir in 1947, he became the head of the Azad Kashmir (AJK) government.
