35 terrorists killed, 12 soldiers martyred in KP operations: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Security forces have eliminated 35 Fitna-ul-Hindustan terrorists during operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

At least 12 braveheart soldiers also sacrificed their lives for the beloved Motherland during the operations.

“During the conduct of operation in Bajaur, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, twenty two Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell”, according to the statement.

“In another encounter that took place in South Waziristan District, thirteen more Khwarij were neutralized by the security forces.

However, during intense fire exchange, twelve brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat,” it added.

“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian sponsored killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas, according to the release from ISPR.

ISPR Concern Over Use of Afghan Soil

The ISPR press release further added that intelligence reports have confirmed the involvement of Afghan citizens in the heinous act. The use of Afghan soil by Fitna al-Khawarij against Pakistan continues to be a cause of serious concern.

Pakistan expects the Afghan interim government to fulfill its responsibilities.

The ISPR has expressed its expectation that Afghanistan will not allow its soil to be used for anti-Pakistan terrorist activities. Clearance operations are underway to eliminate any Indian-sponsored Khawarij in the area.

The security forces are determined to uproot the scourge of terrorism from the country.
