200 Afghan Taliban killed in Pakistan’s response along Pak-Afghan border: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Army retaliated strongly to the unprovoked firing by Afghanistan on the Pak-Afghan border, killing more than 200 Taliban and affiliated terrorists, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

23 brave Pakistani soldiers also embraced martyrdom in the unprovoked firing by the Afghan forces alongside the Pak-Afghan border, said the ISPR release.

The Afghan Taliban and Fitnat-ul-Khawarij attacked Pakistan along the Pak-Afghan border at night without provocation. The firing and raids aimed to destabilize the border areas to facilitate terrorism.

According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, the alert armed forces decisively repelled the attack along the entire Afghan border. Heavy casualties were inflicted on the Taliban forces and the Khawarij in the retaliatory action.

The statement said that in the retaliatory action, along with the firing and attacks, raids were also carried out on Taliban camps, posts, and training centers.

All possible measures were taken to avoid collateral damage and protect the lives of civilians.

The ISPR said that in the retaliatory operations, several Taliban hideouts were destroyed along the border, and 21 enemy posts were captured on the Afghan border during the retaliatory operations.

Several training camps involved in attacks against Pakistan were also made ineffective. During the clashes, 23 brave Pakistani soldiers were martyred, and 20 soldiers were injured.

The ISPR said that during the operation, more than 200 Taliban and affiliated terrorists were killed, and many more were injured.

Taliban posts, camps, headquarters, and the infrastructure of terrorism were also destroyed. The armed forces of Pakistan are always ready to protect the integrity, lives, and property of the people.

The statement said that the determination to defend Pakistan’s territorial integrity and defeat those who pose a threat to its security is unwavering.
