LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 International series against Sri Lanka. The series will be played in January 2026, and all matches will be played in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

According to the announcement, the national team will be led by Salman Ali Agha. Wicketkeeper-batsman Khawaja Muhammad Nafi has been included in the T20 squad for the first time, while Shadab Khan has returned to the T20 format after shoulder surgery. The names of the players included and excluded from the squad have also been officially released.

Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have not been included in the T20 squad for this series, while Haris Rauf has once again not been considered. The national team’s T20 squad includes captain Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Muhammad Nafi, and Muhammad Nawaz.

Other players include Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan, and Usman Tariq. The Pakistan cricket team will leave for Sri Lanka in phases on January 4 and 5, 2026.

Three T20 International matches will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. These matches will be held in Dambulla on January 7, 9 and 11. According to the information released, this series will help select the squad for the World Cup.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has also announced the team management for the series against Sri Lanka. Naveed Akram Cheema has been appointed as the team manager. Mike Hesson will be the head coach of white ball, while Ashley Noffkey will take over the responsibilities of bowling coach, Mohammad Hanif Malik will be the batting coach, and Shane McDermott will be the fielding coach.

Furthermore, Cliff Deacon will be the physiotherapist, Grant Lowden the strength and conditioning coach, Talha Ijaz the team analyst, and Syed Naeem Ahmed the team’s media manager.
