KARACHI (Kashmir English): The Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max could launch earlier than expected, according to the latest rumors.

The Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max could launch on March 17. According to the rumors, the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5.

Additionally, the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max could also launch as a rebranded Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The design and hardware of the Poco and Redmi smartphones could remain the same. However, the battery life could differ between the Poco and Redmi smartphones.

Poco X8 Pro Max Features

As per the leak, the Poco X8 Pro Max may be powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset. It may come with LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This will provide fast speed and smooth performance.

The Pro Max is expected to arrive with a 6.83-inch OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1.5K resolution. The display may go up to 2,000 nits of brightness in high brightness mode and will come with 3,840Hz PWM dimming. This will provide better eye comfort. The smartphone may also come with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for fast and accurate unlocking.

Talking about additional features, the smartphone may come with dual stereo speakers, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and an IR blaster. The smartphone may also come with an IP69K rating, which will provide excellent dust and water resistance.

Coming to the camera, the Poco X8 Pro Max may feature a 50MP Light Hunter 600 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 20MP front camera. The biggest USP of the smartphone may be its massive 8,500mAh battery, which may support 100W wired fast charging.

Poco X8 Pro Features

The Poco X8 Pro, on the other hand, may target a slightly lower market. It will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The device may come with a smaller 6.59-inch OLED screen, but with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, 2,000 nits of brightness, and 3,840Hz PWM support.

The X8 Pro may come with a 6,500mAh battery, which will also support 100W fast charging. In terms of cameras, the device may come with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 20MP front camera. Unlike the Pro Max, this device may come with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

The connectivity options on the X8 Pro may include NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and an IR blaster. It may also come with an IP69K rating. Both devices are expected to come with Android 16 HyperOS 3 out of the box.
