LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): An official Tree plantation drive started throughout the Bannah Mola Union Council in Leepa Valley, where people admire the natural beauty of its forests and its proximity to the Line of Control.
The initiative will establish 100,000 seedlings from multiple species that will serve as key elements to protect both the environment and the diverse natural history of the valley.
The Pakistan Army leads the plantation campaign through its first event at Government High School Bannah Mola, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The local army unit commander initiated the drive by planting a tree with students present at the ceremony.
The green cause received strong backing from all participants including military officials, educational personnel, school children and local government representatives at this caring event.
A short, meaningful ceremony was conducted after the plantation activities to emphasize the essential role of tree planting in this modern era. The speakers declared that trees function as Earth’s jewels, which protect the life of all living beings.
The speakers maintained that tree plantation operations delivering comprehensive sustainability results remained the only effective solution against the increasing environmental perils, including climate change and deforestation alongside pollution.
During the ceremony the speakers explained how trees serve multiple essential functions which include air purification and soil stabilisation and biodiversity enhancement as well as atmospheric improvement.
The participants explained that “one tree stands for one lifetime” to emphasize the long-lasting environmental advantages that new plantings will provide shelter and food for future generations.
People were urged to become actively involved with this national mission through tree planting responsibilities to make their homeland greener. According to them the initiative represents more than just tree plantation because it serves as a deliberate community effort to develop environmental knowledge and accountability.
The Leepa Valley plantation project embodies community-wide environmental stewardship which experts expect will strengthen the natural beauty of this region for many forthcoming years.
