CHIRHOI (Azad Kashmir) (Kashmir English): In Bratla, a suburban area of Chirhoi Tehsil, Kotli District, Azad Kashmir, the third death in a family, including two brothers, within two months of time has shattered the family and caused concern in the area.
Two months ago, a young man named Faryad Butt was murdered in Bratla, a suburban area of Chirhoi Tehsil. His body was found in the forest and a case was registered, but the culprits could not be arrested.
During this time, a cousin of Faryad Butt committed suicide, and on Thursday, Ateeq Butt, the brother of the deceased Faryad Butt, also ended his life by shooting himself.
While everyone was shaken by the death of the third young man in the same family, the cries of Ateeq Butt’s father, who committed suicide, broke many hearts. Questions are also been raised about the justice system of the country.
The elder said if he had known, he would have left this area. “If I had known, I would have left this area.” The elder’s video has gone viral on social media.

On the other hand, according to sources, upon receiving information about the incident, Assistant Commissioner Chirhoi Chaudhry Nazakat, DSP Kotli Chaudhry Shahzad, Naib Tehsildar Chirhoi Syed Fayyaz Hussain, and police from Naar Police Station arrived at the scene with a large contingent.
The administration and police thoroughly inspected the crime scene, gathered initial information, and took possession of the pistol used in the suicide and other items.
According to police sources, forensic evidence and samples have also been collected from the crime scene to meticulously examine all aspects of the incident.
Public circles had expressed doubts about the role of Faryad Butt’s widow in Faryad Butt murder, and according to sources, she has been arrested.
DSP Kotli Chaudhry Shahzad, while speaking at the scene, said that they are thoroughly investigating the case and have informed the family of the details, and one suspect is also in custody. “Those nominated by the family are being interrogated, and we will ensure justice for the bereaved.” Earlier, the burial of the body was refused due to the non-arrest of the culprits in the Faryad Butt murder case.
