KARACHI: The selected branches of the United Bank Limited (UBL) will remain open on Sundays as well, the bank announced in a statement on Wednesday.
In a post on Facebook, the bank said that its selected branches will now open on Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm across the country. “More flexibility, more convenience!” the bank wrote.
“Banking services available for you every day of the week,” the statement said. As per details, the branches include both Retail and Ameen.
Several banks open their branches on Saturdays, but the United Bank Limited became the first private bank in the country to provide its retail services on Sundays.
Earlier this month, the UBL and Habib Bank Limited (HBL) announced the extension of their service hours at selected branches to better cater to customers’ needs.
UBL revealed that selected conventional and UBL Ameen branches will also operate from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. “The extension is aimed at offering enhanced convenience to customers,” the bank said.
Similarly, another prominent and widespread bank, HBL, has extended service hours at 153 designated branches nationwide, which will also remain open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
