MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The weather in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a sudden change in the atmospheric temperature as Pakistan is welcoming the winter season in the early week of October.
The residents have been enjoying light to moderate rainfall for the last couple of days, awakening the feeling of early winter. The winds in the region have become slightly cooler.
Additionally, the higher mountains of Azad Kashmir have worn a blanket of soft white blanket as the region witnesses seasons first snowfall.
According to the Met Office, Rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, and Punjab.
Heavy rain/ hailstorm is also likely at isolated places during the period. Hot & dry weather is likely elsewhere in the country.
