SHARDA (Kashmir English): In a historic development, a Tehsil Bar Association has been established in Sharda Sub-Division Neelum Valley, starting a new chapter of the Tehsil’s judicial history.

A young lawyer, Abdul Samud Awan, has been elected as the founder president of the newly established Tehsil Bar Association.

The announcement was made during a special gathering attended by several prominent personalities, including the President Supreme Court Bar, the President High Court Bar, and the General Central Bar, Muzaffarabad.

The participants of the event congratulated the newly elected President of the Tehsil Bar Association and warmly welcomed the move in the hope that this will be a strong foundation for the lawyers and improve the justice system.

Addressing the ceremony, founding president Abdul Samud Awan said that Allah Almighty has chosen us for this service.

He first paid tribute to his 24 colleagues and especially mentioned Advocate Khawaja Sajjad, who left the membership of the Supreme Court, Islamabad, to become a member of the Sharda Bar. Abdul Samud Awan also expressed special gratitude to Khawaja Aamir Rashid.

He said that the most difficult step is to manage the affairs because lawyers, police, judges, and the public are the four pillars that together run the justice system, and all of them are interconnected.

The founding president said that there is no court here at present, but God willing, a court will also be established in Sharda in the future. He clarified that during his advocacy, he never charged fees from orphans and widows.
