MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Huqooq Lower Belt Baloch Circle recently organized a meeting with its high-level leadership, where the issue of disparity in development projects between wards was raised.
The members raised strong objections to the unequal distribution of funds, pointing out examples of projects involving tens of millions in certain wards compared to just six lakhs elsewhere. They pointed out that the disparity was a clear injustice and needed to be corrected.
The Leaders also criticized the performance of Sardar Fahim Rabbani, threatening that if mega projects like degree colleges, higher secondary schools, hospitals, and road projects are not finished before the 26th election, the movement’s support for him may change.
They emphasized that the initiation of the movement was with the construction of the road between Gohargali and Balonian, inadequate staff in health and education establishments, and supply of other primary facilities, yet regrettably these are issues yet to be solved.
In another development, thousands of employees at MNCHR are on the verge of unemployment and have issued a threat to self-immolate near the Prime Minister’s Secretariat if their demands are not accepted.
The movement criticized the acquittal of the killers of Saleem Shaheen Qureshi and the inability to arrest Malik Atif’s murderers, which questioned the performance of the Islamabad police and judiciary.
The movement reaffirmed its dedication to public rights and cautioned the government against the neglect of its demands.
