Tanveer Ilyas booked for forcibly occupying brothers’ property

RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, has been booked for forcibly occupying a hotel owned by his brothers, Sardar Yasir Ilyas and Sardar Rashid Ilyas, in Rawalpindi.

Case Registered Against Former AJK PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Over Alleged Hotel Occupation

A case has been registered against Tanveer Ilyas and 12 other people at the Cantt Police Station, Rawalpindi, on the complaint of Raja Shahzad Sultan, aide of Yasir Ilyas.

According to the FIR, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas allegedly instructed his supervisor, Akramul Haq, along with armed men, to take over Al-Shams Hotel located on Adamji Road in the garrison city.

The complainant stated that the armed men entered the hotel, assaulted staff members, and threatened them with dire consequences while claiming that the property belonged to Sardar Tanveer Ilyas.

It is further alleged that the supervisor, Ikram-ul-Haq, unlawfully detained a security guard, Sarfraz Ahmad, during the incident.

Police said that Tanveer Ilyas’s henchmen occupied the hotel at gunpoint, creating fear and panic among the staff.

Cantt Police have registered a case and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
