MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Supreme Court Bar Association President Raja Aftab Ahmed Advocate has welcomed the government’s approval of the demands of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) and the issuing of formal notifications in this regard.
In a statement, he said that the government has approved most of the conditions of the agreement made between the JAAC and the government, which is a “welcome and positive development”.
He said that the committee set up by the Government of Pakistan on the issue of refugee seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly is a serious and commendable step.
“The JAAC should show patience, tolerance, and responsibility and should not affect the process of improvement in the public interest resulting from the agreement through unfounded suspicion and unnecessary objections, so that this process of positive progress can continue,” it added.
