MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The High Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has issued a stay order against the recruitment process for the position of Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI) under the AJK Public Service Commission.
The court’s decision came in response to a petition filed by serving police department employees, who argue that the ongoing recruitment process disregards their years of service and seniority.
The petitioners have maintained that despite their long-standing service, they are being sidelined in favor of new candidates, which they term as discriminatory and a violation of their professional rights.
Following preliminary hearings, the court also sent notices to all relevant parties and scheduled the next hearing on August 26.
