ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has developed a special gas delivery system for Eid al-Fitr 2026, which will provide continuous gas service throughout important festive times and change operation times from 23 June to 27 June.

The company said gas will remain available continuously from Chand Raat until midnight on the first day of Eid, allowing households to make smooth arrangements.

The second day of Eid will see gas delivery throughout the entire day, which will stop from midnight until 6.00 am. The third day will begin at 6.00 am and last until midnight.

The fourth day of Eid will see gas delivery from 6.00 am until 10.00 pm. SSGC confirmed that measures have been taken to maintain line pack and stable pressure across its system during the holiday.

From March 24, the previous load management plan will return, which includes gas supply cuts that will happen every day from 10.00 pm until 5.30 am.

Earlier, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) issued a new schedule for gas load shedding for the month of Ramazan.

According to company officials, this arrangement for gas supply has been made especially in view of Ramazan so that domestic consumers face minimum difficulties.

The SSGC company informed customers about their complaint procedures, which they established to handle situations when water pressure drops or water supply stops during scheduled times because of technical problems.

Gas Supply Schedule for Ramazan

Sui Southern spokesperson declared that consumers would receive continuous gas service for 19.5 hours throughout each day of Ramazan. The schedule dictates that the gas supply will operate from 3 pm until 10.30 pm on the following night.

The spokesperson said that gas will be shut off for only 4.5 hours out of 24 hours during Ramazan, so that maximum convenience can be provided to consumers during Sehr and Iftar times.

The operational teams of the company will work continuously to resolve customer complaints, which they consider to be high-priority issues. The utility company requested its customers to practice responsible gas usage during peak consumption times, which occur during sehri and iftar, because these times result in millions of stoves operating simultaneously throughout their service area.

The company issued a warning about illegal gas compressor operations, which they considered to be unethical since they harmed neighboring families who needed to prepare their meals during essential cooking times.

SSGC Helpline for Gas Complaints

The helpline 1199 functioned as the consumer reporting system for such practices. The SSGC company announced that it would implement strict legal penalties against violators, which would include fines, imprisonment, and the extended suspension of their gas services.
