KARACHI: The Sindh government announced the schedule for winter vacations for all public and private educational institutions across the province on Thursday.
The Education Department’s Steering Committee said that educational institutions will remain closed from December 22 to 31 for this year’s annual winter break.
“All educational institutions will reopen on January 1,” the spokesperson added, adding that supplementary examinations conducted by the education boards will continue as per schedule during the holiday period.
Earlier, the Punjab School Education Department officially confirmed the schedule for winter vacations across all public and private schools in the province.
In a notification, the department revealed that winter holidays would start from December 22 and run until January 10, 2026. During this period, all schools remained closed due to the annual winter break.
Academic activities across Punjab were to resume from January 12, 2026, according to the notification.
The department instructed all school administrations to ensure full compliance with the issued holiday schedule, ensuring a smooth transition when schools reopened.
