HAVELI KAHUTA (Kashmir Digital): PML-N Azad Kashmir President Shah Ghulam Qadir has strongly criticized the government for discontinuing the health card project, calling it an injustice to the poor. He said the health card was a public welfare initiative introduced by Nawaz Sharif to provide free treatment to underprivileged citizens, but the current government has taken this benefit away.
Speaking at a public rally in Haveli Kahuta, Shah Ghulam Qadir said the recent audit report has exposed the real face of those who claim to be honest, revealing how the government’s promises never moved beyond paperwork.
He accused the government of limiting development in Azad Kashmir to files only, with no real progress on the ground.
He stated that during the past four years, the current government’s development efforts remained confined to paperwork only, and their empty talk severely impacted the resources of Azad Kashmir.
“The resources we brought to Azad Kashmir through the 13th Amendment have been unfairly distributed by the current government, which has favored only one district. I will raise this issue on the floor of the assembly,” he said.
Shah Ghulam Qadir demanded the immediate restoration of the health card and promised that PML-N will not stay silent on this matter. He said the party stands with the people and will fight for their rights.
He also criticized the PPP in Azad Kashmir, accusing them of blocking development efforts just to stay relevant. “They can already see their defeat in the upcoming elections,” he added.
Highlighting national unity, Shah Ghulam Qadir praised the Pakistan Armed Forces and said the Kashmiri people are standing firmly with them.
He concluded by expressing concern over the ongoing situation in Palestine and Gaza, strongly condemning Israel’s bombing of Iran, and called for unity among Muslim countries, stating, “Israel is the eternal enemy of Muslim nations. Just like India, it is a deceitful state. Muslim countries must now unite and teach Israel a lesson.”
