KECH (Kashmir English): Security forces killed two terrorists involved in the abduction of an innocent woman from the Balichah, Tehsil Tump of Balochistan’s Kech district, security sources said on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the Fitna Al Hindustan terrorists were neutralised in an exchange of fire near Jusak Cross in the Makran Range, following intelligence about the movement of an abducted woman named Nargis.

Security sources said that information was received regarding the movement of a woman in a silver Corolla vehicle, believed to be accompanied by terrorists.

In response, extensive checkpoints and snap checks were established across the area to intercept the vehicle.

At approximately 6:55 PM, a snap checkpointobserved the vehicle attempting to avoid the checkpoint and taking a detour near the Jusak border area. The information was immediately relayed to a nearby Quick Reaction Force (QRF) from UC WC, which was patrolling in the Singhanisar.

As the forces tried to stop the vehicle, fire was opened from inside the vehicle by the terrorists. The QRF responded with effective fire, resulting in the neutralisation of two terrorists.

One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Salim, a known militant who had been at large for the past two years and was involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. The identity of the second terrorist is being ascertained; confirmation is expected to take time due to a head injury.

The area has been fully cordoned off by QRF personnel. No casualties or damage were reported among security forces personnel or equipment.

The vehicle is currently being cleared, and pictures of the deceased terrorists, along with recovered weapons, equipment, and ammunition, have been documented. Security officials stated that the operation stemmed from earlier reports of the woman’s abduction and was conducted professionally.

Further details and updates will be shared as the investigation progresses, security sources said.
