MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Authorities have imposed Section 144 in Muzaffarabad to prevent illegal land encroachments during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
According to an order issued by the District Magistrate, Muzaffarabad, instances of illegal occupation and construction activities on government and private lands are common during public holidays.
In this regard, to manage the situation, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Munir Ahmed Qureshi has imposed a complete ban on all kinds of construction activities and encroachments in the district through Section 144 CrPC.
According to this order, no individual or group can engage in, facilitate, or support any illegal occupation of lands, and strict action will be taken against them through due course of law.
The authorities have stated that this measure has been taken to protect public and government lands, ensuring law and order during the Eid holidays.
