BAGH (Kashmir English): Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of the Azad Kashmir Government, chaired a high-level meeting of district officers and local government representatives held in the hall of the Municipal Corporation of Bagh.
Deputy Commissioner Bagh Raja Sadaqat, SSP Riaz Mughal, Mayor Municipal Corporation Major Retired Sardar Abdul Qayyum Baig, Chairman District Council and all district officers and local government representatives attended the meeting.
District officers gave a briefing on the current situation in the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan said that an attempt is being made to spread chaos within the state.
It is the responsibility of all of us to provide security to the citizens. The government has made every effort to prevent this environment from being created within the state, but some people are fomenting chaos within the state, which will have to be stopped.
The district administration should ensure law and order, and the local representatives should be present in their respective areas and protect the people from chaos.
This is not only the responsibility of the administration, but it is also our responsibility as citizens of the state to play a role in maintaining peace in this situation.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Raja Sadaqat said that the leaves of all officers and officials have been canceled. All the officials will be present in the offices so that timely action can be taken in any emergency.
SSP Riaz Mughal said that every effort will be made to keep the situation under control without any harshness. If the law is taken into hand in any place, then the law will take its course.
Everyone has the right to peaceful protest, but violence will not be allowed at any level. The police will maintain law and order at all costs.
Mayor Municipal Corporation Sardar Abdul Qayyum Baig said that the protection of people’s property and lives should be ensured at all costs. There is no room for chaos and anarchy in the state.
The state should not be allowed to be burdened in the name of problems. Peaceful protest is everyone’s right, but those who are causing suffering to the people by blocking roads will have to be stopped by force.
Those who are creating chaos in the state have nefarious objectives that are not in the interest of the state.
