ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Foreign Office Spokesperson, Shafqat Ali Khan, said that the safety of Pakistani citizens on board the Global Sumud Flotilla is the top priority.

He strongly condemned the Israeli move to stop the Global Sumud Flotilla, saying that the Samood Flotilla is a humanitarian mission and a symbol of global solidarity and moral commitment.

Foreign Office Spokesperson added that we strongly condemn Israel’s blocking of the Global Sumud Flotilla, and that the Israeli actions are a serious violation of international law.

Shafqat Ali Khan said that on September 16, Pakistan issued a joint statement with 15 countries, expressing concern over the security of the flotilla.

He further said that the safety and well-being of Pakistani citizens on board the flotilla is the top priority.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson said that Pakistan does not recognize Israel.

We are working with our international partners in the region to release the hostages.

Pakistan is committed to the early and safe return of its martyrs on board the flotilla, and Pakistan is in touch with allied countries for the safety and security of its citizens.

Earlier, the Prime Minister strongly condemned the dastardly attack by Israeli forces on the Gaza-bound Samud flotilla, carrying over 450 humanitarian workers from 44 countries.

“Pakistan strongly condemns the dastardly attack by Israeli forces on the 40-vessel Samud Gaza flotilla, carrying over 450 humanitarian workers from 44 countries,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a post on X.

Flotilla was carrying aid for hapless Palestinians

“We hope and pray for the safety of all those who have been illegally apprehended by Israeli forces and call for their immediate release. Their crime was to carry aid for the hapless Palestinian people.”

PM Sharif further said that the barbarity must end and peace must be given a chance, and humanitarian aid must reach those in need.
