ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that Eid ul Adha 2025 will be observed on Saturday, June 7, 2025, all over Pakistan.

A major Islamic holiday, Eidul al-Adha, combines animal sacrifice, charity, and prayers. Religious fervour marks the celebration of this event in honour of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (AS)’s enormous sacrifice.

Usually, there is less demand for fresh currency notes during Eid ul-Adha than during Eid ul-Fitr, when a common custom is to give Eid to children. On Eid ul-Adha, the main emphasis changes to buying sacrificial animals, so eclipsing the custom of giving Eid.

Still, kids eagerly anticipate getting fresh, crisp notes since it enhances the holiday excitement and enables them to purchase gifts, toys, or minor presents. Although not as stressed as during Eidul ul-Fitr, many youngsters still consider receiving fresh money to be a beloved part of the celebration.

People can get a bundle of fresh currency notes from the open market or banks. Although the banks charge no additional amount for providing the new currency notes, traders in open markets turn a profit.

Bundle rate for Rs 10 currency notes

Shopkeepers profit from selling fresh currency notes in an open market. In the open market, a bundle of Rs 10 currency notes costing Rs 1,000 is sold for Rs 1,200–1,300.

Those who cannot purchase it from banks must pay more for the packages in order to give children fresh, crisp notes.

Bundle rate for Rs 50 notes

On the open market, a bundle of Rs50 notes valued at Rs5,000 is sold for Rs5,300–5,500.
