RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The RawalPindiz has announced a replacement of fast bowler Naseem Shah ahead of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
The franchise confirmed that Naseem Shah sustained a side injury during their match against the Karachi Kings. The team’s medical staff is closely monitoring his recovery, and they expect him to return at the tournament’s end when he completes rehabilitation and receives fitness approval.
The team has selected all-rounder Mubasir Khan to substitute for the right-arm fast bowler as a temporary measure. The team’s medical staff will determine if Naseem Shah can play in the tournament’s final rounds after they conduct another evaluation.
Mubasir played for Islamabad United during the seventh and eighth editions of the Pakistan Super League. He played 14 matches where he scored 49 runs and took two wickets.
RawalPindiz has added New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears to their bowling roster because their two main pacers, Naseem Shah and Zaman Khan, have sustained injuries.
Sears was signed for Rs. 2.5 crore and will make his PSL debut. He has limited franchise experience because he played in Major League Cricket (MLC) for Washington Freedom. He has taken 31 wickets in 27 T20 Internationals and 10 wickets in four One Day Internationals for New Zealand.
Zaman Khan, who suffered a dislocation of the acromioclavicular (ACJ) joint in his right shoulder while fielding for Faisalabad against Peshawar in the National T20 Cup 2026, has been replaced by Jalat Khan. The RawalPindiz team, which Mohammad Rizwan leads, will face the Quetta Gladiators in their next PSL match on April 10.
