Several rallies being held in Muzaffarabad to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistani political, social, and military leadership continues to arrive in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers.

The city has been decorated with the flags of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, while banners and posters regarding solidarity with Kashmir have been displayed at various places.

Posters and banners depicting the atrocities and brutality being inflicted on the Kashmiri people by India have been put up at the entrances and important entry points of the city, through which solidarity with the Kashmiri people is being expressed.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will address the joint session of the Legislative Assembly of Azad Kashmir today. Similarly, the Pakistani military leadership is also visiting the capital, Muzaffarabad, to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri brothers across the border.

Today, like the rest of the country, Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed in Muzaffarabad. On this occasion, various events, rallies, and gatherings were organized, in which complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people was expressed.

A Kashmir Solidarity Rally was organized in Muzaffarabad under the auspices of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir, in which people belonging to different sections of thought participated. During the rally, a human chain of hands was also formed in the capital to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

The participants of the rally were raising slogans like “What is the relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir? There is no god but Allah. What is the relationship between Kashmiris? There is no god but Allah. In addition, slogans like “We will take freedom from India, we have the right to freedom” were also raised.

Slogans like “Indian invaders, leave Kashmir, we will take away our freedom” were also raised by the participants, due to which the atmosphere of the city was filled with the spirit of solidarity with Kashmir.

These activities in Muzaffarabad on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day are a manifestation of solidarity with the Kashmiri people, where the presence of the people, political leadership, and military leadership gave special importance to the day.

PM & President’s Message on Kashmir Solidarity Day

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reiterated their unwavering support for the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination.

The two leaders urged the international community to go beyond mere expressions of concern and to stop India from committing grave human rights violations in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The President and the Prime Minister, in their separate messages, said that moral, diplomatic, and political support will continue for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri brothers and sisters in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Special Message from ISPR

On the occasion of Kashmir Day, the Chiefs of the Armed Forces also reiterated their support for the struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination. According to the ISPR, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and other armed forces reiterated their unwavering support for the right of self-determination of the brave people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the ISPR, the armed forces stressed that a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people is indispensable for lasting peace and stability in South Asia.

Seminars, solidarity walks, rallies, and other events are being organized today on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day in Pakistan and around the world. A minute’s silence will be observed across the country at 10 am to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement.

The purpose of this day is to draw the attention of the international community to the ongoing atrocities in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India.
