HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Farooq Haider, has strongly claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will form the next government in AJK. He made this statement while addressing a joining ceremony held at the party’s district office in Hattian Bala.
Speaking at the event, Raja Farooq Haider said that the introduction of a non-political system in Azad Kashmir had weakened ideological politics. He criticized the current government, saying it lacks any political or ideological ownership, which has led to ongoing issues across the region.
He emphasized that the PML-N is a party based on strong ideology and principles. During its previous tenure from 2016 to 2021, the party delivered record development work and made historic contributions in political, constitutional, and administrative reforms.
According to Raja Farooq Haider, the 2021 AJK elections were manipulated through a conspiracy by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, which led to instability. He noted that since then, three prime ministers have been changed, proving the government’s lack of stability and leadership.
A major highlight of the event was the formal joining of several local leaders from Union Council Sinaan Daman, who left PPP and PTI to join PML-N. Raja Farooq Haider welcomed them warmly, congratulated them, and presented traditional garlands to the new members.
He also pointed out that people across Azad Kashmir are remembering PML-N’s performance and are joining the party in large numbers. “We served the people with honesty during our time in government, and we will continue to do so whenever we get the chance again,” said Raja Farooq Haider.
On this occasion, he instructed party workers, including district council candidate Imtiaz Hamdani and Abdul Ghafoor Samad, to strengthen grassroots networks and ensure unity among old and new members.
He concluded by saying that PML-N had always worked for equal development and public welfare, and he is confident that the party will return to power in the upcoming elections.
