LONDON (Kashmir English): Federal Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that PCB is considering Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium for PSL matches.

Naqvi announced the PSL roadshow at the home of cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground, in London. The event was also attended by legendary cricketers Ramiz Raja and Wasim Akram, and moderated by PSL CEO Salman Naseer.

He said that the cricket board is taking control of the stadium in Muzaffarabad, and a five-star hotel is near the venue, which will be feasible for the travel and accommodation of international players.

Addressing the gathering, Naqvi said that a state-of-the-art cricket stadium equipped with world-class facilities will be built in Islamabad. “A world-class standard cricket stadium will also be built in Muzaffarabad,” he added.

According to sources, the Indian media has started shouting after this announcement and has termed this big step of Pakistan as a setback for them. The Indian media is also doing unnecessary propaganda on this decision; however, fans in Pakistan are calling this move a great opportunity to promote cricket and showcase the beauty of Kashmir to the world.

Azad Kashmir has a unique identity at the global level due to its enchanting valleys, beautiful landscapes, and natural beauty.

Holding PSL matches in Muzaffarabad will not only expand the scope of cricket in Pakistan but also give international players the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Kashmir.

Addressing the Roadshow, PCB chairman vowed to make the Pakistan Super League (PSL) the world’s No. 1 franchise cricket competition, saying that achieving this goal is not difficult.

Naqvi further shared he received “amazing advice” from former and current national cricketers, including Ramiz, Wasim, Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, and Sahibzada Farhan, regarding the league, which he termed worthy of implementing.
