LAHORE (Kashmir English): Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan undertake extensive security preparations in advance of PSL-10 starting on April 11 to secure all participants and spectators. Punjab Home Department announced that Pakistan Army and Rangers personnel will perform security duties across these hosting cities as the PSL-10 draws major spectators and international viewers.
The Pakistan Army has planned to send two companies each to the selected cities and has assigned a single wing of Rangers to assist the effort. The security efforts establishing a secure space extend protection to competition participants and officials and everyone who will watch the matches. The authorities demonstrate their intense dedication to address this matter through the requested addition of SSG commandos and Army Aviation helicopters to existing defensive plans.
The security measures will operate from April 6 until May 19 so they span the entire PSL tournament period from April 11 until May 18. Public attention will increase because of prestigious international cricketers and other officials scheduled to participate in the PSL’s upcoming 10th edition. The Federal Ministry of Interior received an official request detailing preparations as proof that government leaders are strongly committed to delivering a safe and seamless event. The country values the PSL, and all resources focus on creating a safe environment for its celebration.

The 10th edition of the PSL kicks off on April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Between April 11 and May 18, the competition will feature 34 matches where Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host 13 fixtures, which will allow the teams to capitalize on the enthusiasm of their dedicated supporters.
