Poonch defeats Sudhanoti to win Kashmir National Football Championship

BAGH (Kashmir English): District Football Association Poonch defeated District Football Association Sudhanoti by 4–0 to win the Azad Kashmir National Football Championship, played at Shamsi Stadium in Bagh.

The five-day championship featured eight teams from different districts of Azad Kashmir. The final proved to be a one-sided contest as Poonch dominated the game from the outset.

On the occasion, Minister for Communications and Public Works Sardar Zia Al-Qamar and Minister for Sports Ahmed Saghir reached Shamsi Stadium and watched the final match. The football fans present in the stadium gave a grand welcome to the esteemed ministers and encouraged the players with thunderous applause.

During the match, the Poonch team took the lead on the field from the very beginning. Poonch players played a coordinated game at different stages of the game and kept the Sudhanoti defence under pressure through continuous attacks.

A large number of football fans were present at the venue to watch the final match. The spectators encouraged the teams throughout the match and applauded loudly for each goal.

The successful organization of the Azad Kashmir National Football Championship, the participation of ministers, and the presence of a large number of fans made this event memorable.
