MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Secretariat Elementary and Secondary Education, Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, has banned political and other non-governmental activities within the premises of government educational institutions.
According to a circular issued by the Secretariat of Elementary and Secondary Education, it has been generally observed that political and other similar non-governmental events took place within the premises of several educational institutions of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, which cause damage to the sanctity and good name of these educational institutions.

“Keeping this fact in mind, it is necessary that such activities should not take place within the premises of government educational institutions and should be discouraged as much as possible.”
Permission for local social needs, including funeral prayers, may be granted by the head of the concerned educational institution. Furthermore, no non-governmental event or activity can be arranged without obtaining permission from the high ups.
