ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for the early week of Ramazan 2026.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a warning that stated that Ramazan will bring hot and dry weather conditions to most areas of Pakistan during the first days of fasting.

Irfan Virk, who serves as Deputy Director of the Meteorological Department, stated that Ramazan will have no significant chance of rainfall during its first ten days. The department’s forecast predicts that most regions of the country will face dry weather conditions throughout the daytime hours.

The temperatures in Lahore and Islamabad will remain under 30°C until the beginning of the month. The southern regions of the country will experience much hotter temperatures than other areas.

The temperature in certain regions of Sindh and southern Punjab will reach 35°C, which will create more difficult fasting conditions than those experienced in central and northern areas.

The southern coastal city of Karachi will experience light rainfall. Senior official Anjum Nazir reported that a new western wind system will enter the country, which will bring drizzle to the city.

Meteorologists have predicted that this potential rainfall will not bring any substantial change to the continuing pattern of hot and dry weather. The first twenty days of Ramazan will see Karachi temperatures remain between 32°C and 34°C.

The weather forecast shows that moderate weather will continue, even though there is a chance of light rain. The Meteorological Department forecasted that temperatures will increase during the final ten days of Ramazan. The public needs to follow safety guidelines during fasting times because authorities predict that temperatures will become more intense as the month progresses.
