ISLAMABAD:PM Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned what he called an “unprovoked” attack by Israel on Iran, calling it a serious threat to peace in the already volatile Middle East. In a statement shared on his official X account, PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep sympathies for the Iranian people over the reported loss of lives.

“I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, today’s unprovoked attack on Iran by Israel. I convey my deepest sympathies to the Iranian people on the loss of lives in this attack,” he stated.

PM Shehbaz Sharif described the strike as a “grave and highly irresponsible act” that could further destabilize an already tense region. He warned that such actions could lead to more conflict, putting global peace at risk.

“The international community and the United Nations must act now to prevent further escalation,” PM Shehbaz Sharif urged, calling for immediate steps to maintain stability and prevent the situation from worsening.

Terming the development a “grave and highly irresponsible act,” PM Shehbaz warned that it poses serious risks to an already unstable region. “This grave and highly irresponsible act is deeply alarming and risks further destabilising an already volatile region,” he added.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar calls Israel attack a “brazen violation”

In a separate reaction, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also condemned the Israeli strike, labeling it a “brazen violation” of Iran’s sovereignty. He called the attack “abhorrent,” stating that it violates international law and threatens regional stability.

“This abhorrent action has shaken the foundations of international law as well as the conscience of humanity,” Dar said. “Pakistan stands in solidarity with the government and people of Iran.”

Reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Iran, Dar concluded his message by stating, “Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Government & the people of Iran.”
