BHIMBER: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Shareef will visit Bhimber, Azad Kashmir, to lay the foundation for the Bhimber Danish School of Science and Technology System, in a one-day official tour.

The Prime Minister will lay the cornerstone of a Danish school in Bhimber during the official visit. At the foundation stone ceremony, he is also expected to speak to the crowd.

The PM Shehbaz will be accompanied by the PM of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq.

The foundation stone will be laid, aiming at providing better quality education to the children of the region.

Federal Secretary Mohiuddin Wani, the Chief Secretary of Azad Kashmir, and other relevant authorities are in charge of finalising the visit’s preparations and coordinating the setup. The event is anticipated to be aired on PTV.

This initiative will provide the unprivileged children of AJK with an opportunity to pursue good quality education.

The district Bhimber is spread over approximately 1516 square kilometres of land. It has a population of 420,624, according to the 2017 census.

The event and the PMs address to the crowd is expected to be broadcast live on Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV). Also referred to as Pakistan Television, PTV is the Pakistani state-owned broadcaster founded by the Government of Pakistan.

The Danish Schools are dubbed the brainchild of Shehbaz Sharif when he was the Chief Minister of Punjab and enrol 110 students a year, of which 10 may pay tuition. The remaining 100 children are admitted on the basis of merit and get free education.

These schools began their endeavour in 2010. In order to give students from the most impoverished communities free education, the Danish School System, as an educational program in Pakistan, seeks to build residential schools on sizeable land plots outside of cities.
