KARACHI (Kashmir English): Petrol prices in Pakistan are expected to drop from October 16, 2025, giving some relief to consumers in times of inflation.
Sources said that from October 16, petrol price should go down by Rs. 6.10 per litre, whereas high-speed diesel should go down by 97 paisa per litre.
Kerosene is likely to go down by Rs. 2.75 per litre, whereas light diesel oil can become cheaper by Rs. 1.64 per litre. The oil industry has finalized its calculations and filed them with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
OGRA will transfer its overview of petroleum product price changes to the Petroleum Division, which will then pass it on to the Ministry of Finance this evening.
The Ministry of Finance, in consultation with the Prime Minister, will grant final approval for the petroleum price changes tomorrow.
