Paramilitary force intercepts arms smuggling attempt in Balochistan’s Kech

KECH (Balochistan) (Kashmir English): Security forces on Sunday intercepted a major arms smuggling attempt in Balochistan, seizing hundreds of illegal weapons during a snap inspection on the M-8 Motorway.

At approximately 3:30 PM, personnel from Mekran Scouts at the Sammi Naka check post, signaled a suspicious pickup vehicle (Registration No. LE-2996) to stop for a routine search. The vehicle was traveling through the general area of Sammi in the Turbat Tehsil of Kech District.

During the subsequent search of the vehicle, troops recovered a massive cache of unauthorized firearms concealed within the frame. The confiscated haul includes 400 Pistols, and 340 Magazines.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Ahsan Ullah, son of Mir Baz Khan and a resident of Peshawar, was immediately apprehended at the scene.

The suspect, along with the confiscated weaponry and the vehicle, has been taken into custody for further interrogation.
