MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Panjgaran police have launched a series of major operations targeting wanted criminals and unlawful individuals, showing no signs of slowing down in their efforts to ensure peace and safety in the region.
In one of the key actions, SHO Younis Butt and his team successfully arrested a wanted suspect, Zia Habib, a resident of Manjhoter. The suspect was taken into custody and locked up after being on the run for some time.
In another operation, the Panjgaran police arrested Chaudhry Shamsuddin, son of Jamad Ali from Panjoor Gali, who was allegedly harassing women in the area. A formal case has been registered, and legal proceedings have begun.
A third case involved the arrest of Khani Zaman, son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Seri Sacha. A disturbing video of him went viral on social media, showing him engaging in obscene behavior with a woman. Using advanced technical tools, the Panjgaran police traced and arrested him. A case has been filed, and investigations are underway. Authorities also suspect his involvement in drug use, including crystal meth, which is being thoroughly investigated.
Furthermore, the Panjgaran police registered five separate cases against non-local individuals for violating Section 144. These individuals were caught at different locations within the police station’s jurisdiction, and challans have been submitted to the court.
Local residents have praised the recent efforts, stating that since the appointment of SHO Younis Butt, criminal activity, especially drug trafficking, has seen a significant decline. The officer’s presence has tightened the noose around criminal elements, bringing a sense of relief to the area.
These back-to-back actions reflect the Panjgaran police’s commitment to law enforcement and maintaining order in their jurisdiction.
