ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Federal Minister of PlanningAhsan Iqbal, announced that with China‘s help, Pakistan will be able to accomplish its mission to land on the moon by 2035.
This development was announced during the launch ceremony of the Remote Sensing Satellite. The federal minister congratulated the nation on the successful launch of the remote sensing satellite.
He further announced that a Pakistani astronaut will be flown to space next year.
Moreover, the minister also congratulated the whole Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) team, engineers, and scientists.
Thankful for China‘s cooperation, he said, “We are grateful for China‘s great cooperation. The satellite has reached its orbit successfully.”
The planning minister once again asserted that Pakistan will resume a leading role in space technology.
Earlier, Pakistan launched its latest remote sensing satellite on July 31 from China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center.
According to a spokesperson for SUPARCO (Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission), the new satellite has been specifically designed for better agricultural monitoring, to provide accurate data for crop assessment, and support urban planning initiatives across the country.
