DUBAI (Kashmir English): In a recent development, Pakistan has set a strong target of 147 runs for India in the Asia Cup final match 2025.
For the first time in the 41-year history of the Asia Cup, the final between Pakistan and India is being played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium.
In the final match, India won the toss and decided to bowl first against Pakistan; the entire Pakistan team was bundled out for 146 runs in 19.1 overs.
The first Pakistani batsman to be dismissed was Sahibzada Farhan, who played a brilliant innings of 57 runs off 38 balls and was caught off Varun’s ball for a total score of 84.
Saim Ayub, who came after him, scored 14 runs on a total score of 113 and returned to the pavilion after giving away the wicket of Kuldeep.
After the fall of the second wicket, the Pakistani batsmen lined up, and the remaining 8 players were out for only 33 runs.
After Saim Ayub, Muhammad Haris also returned to the pavilion without scoring any runs. Fakhar Zaman was also caught by Varun at the score of 126; he scored 46 runs off 35 balls. Hussain Talat was also out at the score of 131; he could only score one run.
After him, Salman Agha was also out after scoring 8 runs, followed by Shaheen Afridi and Faheem Ashraf without scoring any runs. Haris Rauf and Muhammad Nawaz scored 6 runs each.
No change was made to the Pakistan team’s squad for the final. The Pakistan team includes captain Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
Indian team all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the final due to injury, and Rinku Singh has been included in the playing eleven in his place.
In the Asia Cup 2025, India defeated Pakistan in both matches, but apart from that, Pakistan has defeated every team in Asia so far.
