ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan has once again ranked fourth lowest in the world ranking for passports in 2025, according to the Henley Passport Index.
Pakistan shares the 96th position with Yemen and Somalia in the Henley Passport Index’s 2025 Global Ranking.
Pakistani citizens can travel on their passports to 32 countries without a visa.
The annual ranking for the passports is being shared by the UK-based citizenship and residence advisory firm.
Asian countries are still in the forefront of the global mobility competition; South Korea and Japan are tied for second place and both allow their people to travel to 190 countries without a visa.
The remaining Top 5 was dominated by a significant European contingent. The seven EU passports with access to 189 destinations—Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain shared third place.
Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden are the other seven European countries that share fourth place with visa-free access to 188 destinations. New Zealand, the only country to challenge the regional dominance, is tied for fifth place with Greece and Switzerland.
Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the ranking, with its citizens able to access just 25 destinations without a prior visa. A staggering mobility gap of 168 destinations exists between the top and bottom-ranked passports.
