WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Kashmir English): The Pakistan tour of New Zealand continues with New Zealand and Pakistan playing the 5th and final T20I at Sky Stadium here today.
The match will start at Wellington today (11:15 am PST March 26/ 06:15 am GMT / 07:15 pm Local).
New Zealand has already sealed the series with a 3-1 lead and the today’s game may not hold such significance in terms of results.
However, Pakistan will be striving to salvage pride and end the series on a high note.
Pakistan’s poor performance in T20I
Pakistan has performed poorly in the ongoing series against the Kiwis with winning only one game so far.
The hosts’ depth has been the key factor in their dominance. Even with several players missing due to the IPL 2025, New Zealand have outclassed Pakistan in most games.
The hosts sealed the series in game four and now look to put a rubber stamp on things against Pakistan in Wellington today.
Weather is likely to remain sunny with light winds and temperatures just under 20c.
Pakistani batsmen have consistently disappointed in the ongoing New Zealand tour and are the main reason as to why this last match of the T20i series has been rendered a dead rubber.
New Zealand are expected to continue outperforming Pakistan as they have throughout the majority of this series so far.
They’ve been superb with the bat and more bowlers have performed for the Black Caps compared to Pakistan, who’ve been overly reliant on Rauf.
