ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has released an official schedule for the U19 Asia Cup 2025, which sets the stage for yet another highly anticipated Pakistan-India showdown in the UAE despite the tensions that have unfolded earlier this year.

Pakistan and India have not been on the friendliest of terms in 2025. The senior Asia Cup, the Women’s ODI World Cup, and the ongoing Asia Cup Rising Stars have all fallen prey to the political hostilities that seep into the sporting landscape.

Notwithstanding that, organisers have once again slotted Pakistan and India into Group A, because that remains must-see television.

The last time Pakistan faced India in the U19 Asia Cup, Saad Baig’s side came out on top and defeated India by 43 runs in 2024.

The tournament gets underway on 12 December, pitting the region’s brightest young cricketers against each other in a battle for continental supremacy.

The final will take center stage on 21 December at Dubai’s ICC Academy. With a powerful pedigree in youth tournaments and an exciting new batch of emerging talent, Pakistan will be gunning for a deep run in the competition and challenging for the title.

The schedule was announced via the ACC’s social media accounts, with the board citing the importance of the tournament and the talent that it showcases each and every year.

With Pakistan and India set to meet early in the competition, all eyes will be on the junior stars ready to carry the legacy of cricket’s biggest rivalry into the next generation.
